About Clean Seas Please

Our Story

The Clean Seas Please project, funded by the Environment Agency and managed by Rother Voluntary Action and Hastings Voluntary Action, began in 2013. The project came about after the sea bathing sites of Bexhill and Hastings were expected to fail a new EU Directive on the standards for bathing water quality.

The Problem

There are several key focuses for the Clean Seas Please project; F.O.Gs (fats, oils, and greases), plumbing and missed connections, and ragging.
